黄飞鸿（张卫健 饰）是一位善良勇敢，正直有为的青年，他的名字在广东无人不知无人不晓。心怀嫉恨的武馆馆主洪霸找到了高手仇千丈（施行宇 饰），想让后者在醒狮大会上搓一搓黄飞鸿的锐气，可是比武当日，黄飞鸿和好友林世荣（林子聪 饰）、梁宽（郑晓东 饰）、牙擦苏（张嘉伦 饰）等人识破了洪霸的阴谋，仇千丈最终成为了他的手下败将。 洪霸将仇千丈重病的家人赶走，一行人得到了黄飞鸿的接济，然而他们已经病入膏肓，就连黄飞鸿亦无法妙手回春。不知真相的仇千丈认定了是黄飞鸿害死了他的家人，两人之间就此结下深仇大恨。在父亲的带领下，黄飞鸿来到了香港，在那里开设了宝芝林的分店，因此邂逅了美丽温柔的姑娘武田静香（小王晶 饰），然而静香是日本人，两人的感情注定要经历波折。
